We want every guest to be able to use this site comfortably, regardless of ability or technology. We make ongoing efforts to keep it accessible to the widest possible audience.
Conformance standard
This site aims to conform to the Israeli Standard IS 5568 for web content accessibility, based on W3C WCAG 2.0 Level AA, in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for a Service) Regulations, 5773-2013.
This is a voluntary commitment, made while the platform is exempt, not the discharge of a legal duty: the platform currently falls within the exemption in reg. 35(ט) of those Regulations, so the accessibility duty they place on an online service does not apply to it today. That exemption has a known end. It ends once annual turnover reaches NIS 120,000: this site launched after 26 October 2017, so from that point the Regulations give it no exemption and the commitment above becomes a legal duty. Below NIS 120,000 the Regulations allow a temporary exemption of three years, extendable; above NIS 1,000,000 there is none at all.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks and a “skip to content” link.
- Full keyboard operability with clearly visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
- Colour combinations chosen for sufficient contrast.
- Support for Hebrew (right-to-left), English and Russian.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference.
- Forms with associated labels and clear error messages.
Accessibility menu
An accessibility button (on every page) opens a menu to enlarge text, increase contrast, highlight links and reduce motion. Your choices are remembered on your device.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some third-party or media content (embedded maps/Street View, uploaded photos, video) may not be fully accessible. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us and we will try to provide the information accessibly.
Invitation sites organisers create
Each event's invitation site is generated from our templates, which we design to meet this same standard by default. Content an organiser adds to it (their own images, text and embedded media) is the organiser's; who carries responsibility for the accessibility of that content, us or the organiser, is a shared and unsettled question, and this statement does not decide it.
Physical venue access
The RSVP form lets a guest indicate they need accessible drop-off at the venue. This is a logistics request about the physical location and is separate from website accessibility.
